Candace completed her five years of study at the Canadian College of Osteopathy in Toronto, ON, in April 2014. She then completed her research thesis, which examined a specific technique from cranial osteopathy and its effects on factors involved in stress and immunity. She graduated in November 2015 with a Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice (D.O.M.P.) and a Diploma in the Science of Osteopathy (D.Sc.O.).
Candace understands how the body and the individual respond to the physical and emotional demands of stress, everyday life, and injury. Through her knowledge of anatomy and physiology, as well as her refined sense of touch and strong intuition, Candace artfully aligns and re-balances the body by gently working with the bones, ligaments, muscles and organs. She works with adults, newborns, and everyone in between, addressing a variety of health concerns ranging from back and knee pain, sports injuries, anxiety and depression, digestive problems, colic, chronic ear and respiratory infections, and much more.
Candace believes in educating her patients about what is happening within their body, the link this has with their overall health status, and makes referrals to respected practitioners of other healthcare fields based on patient needs and presentation. Through this multi-disciplinary approach, her patients have been able to improve their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health, as well as understand their body, and self, on a deeper level.
In her spare time, Candace enjoys yoga, hip hop dancing, running, reading, travelling, watching health documentaries and laughing with friends.
